Legal Experience

Prior to forming Law Offices of Lisa M. Bluestein, LLC, Ms. Bluestein was a Senior Associate at Bluestein & Sander, LLP and tackled matters involving general breach of contract issues, mechanic’s lien foreclosures, and other construction law issues in state and federal courts for both individual and corporate clients, some of which were also heard before an appeals court. She protected creditors’ rights in general collections actions, non-dischargeability adversary proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, supplemental proceedings in State courts, and asserted creditors' claims in Surrogate’s Court.

While an associate at D’Amato & Lynch, Ms. Bluestein worked on litigation matters, as insurance-appointed defense counsel, in attorney malpractice lawsuits, custom bond disputes, and general insurance indemnification and subrogation claims.

Ms. Bluestein started her legal career as an associate at Gutman, Mintz, Baker & Sonnenfeldt, where she represented landlords and tenants in summary proceedings and Supreme Court actions involving landlord-tenant disputes, assisted in appeals briefs of such matters, and represented landlords before the NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal.
